This policy explains what information Cakes by Din ("we", "us") collects on cakesbydin.com, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to inquiries you send through it.
What we collect
- Information you send us through the inquiry form: your name, phone number, email, event date, number of servings, delivery address or city, design notes, flavor and dietary preferences, and any inspiration photos you upload.
- Usage information, only if you allow analytics, collected by Google Analytics: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location (city level), how you arrived at the site and which buttons you clicked. We do not use this to identify you personally.
- Technical information handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, such as IP address and request logs, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, prepare a quote and arrange your order, pickup or delivery.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve it.
- To keep the site secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers that run this site for us:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security, and delivery of the inquiry form to our inbox.
- Google: Gmail, where inquiries arrive, and Google Analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics runs only if you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie notice. Until then, no analytics code or cookies are loaded. We never use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the home page; choosing "No thanks" stops analytics and removes its cookies from your browser.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and analytics never runs.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so the site does not change its behavior because of that signal alone. In practice, no tracking runs on this site unless you allow analytics, and a Global Privacy Control signal is always honored.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails and order details for as long as needed to handle your order and for our business records. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights (California residents)

Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
